Day 8
It’s the 8th day of the race. Today is the nice oppressive weather – 31 degrees Celsius plus humidity. In the morning in honor of the Father’s Day, which is celebrated in America, Sri Chinmoy marathon team organized a classic marathon – 42 km 195 m. Runners were moving along the loop which was next to ours and we had an opportunity to see them, because there were two sidewalks of one street. Dipali was the first with her personal time 3:41. She was red when she finished. Dipra was the first among men; his time is 4:05. The weather was actually oppressive, but these lucky people did their marathon and went back home. Unlike them,we run two and a half marathons every day.
Some of our guys wear special suits Solumbre, which reflect 99% of sun rays. As for me, I don’t hurry up to put it on, the real difficulties I am going to have when the temperature is 35 degrees Celsius. It’s quite bearable now.
Yesterday was a tough day, especially towards the end. It was really difficult to move for many of us. Maybe they cooked something in the kitchen that was not compatible with our stomachs and we tried to get rid of it hard, going to the toilet time and again. But anyway, when I was brought home, Ashprihanal almost went to bed. At the same time we have good news for today – three of our runners have done 500 miles today. I think that a few others will reach this point today too. Darbashana has slowly started to run, it inspires greatly. I think that soon Surasa also will begin running. She is still fighting her shin splints. See you later!
