Latest news

Augu 10, 2009

There is only one runner now – Suprabha. She is unmistakably moving forward to a cherished goal. She is running quite stable, 45 miles per day in average. Her 13th finish will be at August 13 in the second half of the day.

Today was the hottest day of the summer so far, around 37C. Windy weather and low humidity were the saviors. Except helpers, we have a schedule to be on duty with Suprabha along the course, so she never runs alone :)

Parvati’s group singing as usual every morning since 6:40 a.m. at all weather.

Some stats

Augu 3, 2009

This was my 6 successful finish on 3100 mile race and I finished #6. Many dreams came true during the race… Can’t tell everything but even small statistics is speaking eloquently :) First 1000 miles – 16 days + 12 hours Second 1000 miles – 15 days + 13 hours Third 1000 miles –  14 days + 15 hours First 10 days – 573 miles Last full 10 days – 683 miles I bettered my time by 47 hours – I even can’t dream about it. I wanted to be faster then 50 days, 49+. But run in 48+ !!! From 21 line I went up to 15 place in 3100 finishers list. Pair of shoes woren – 15 Weight lost – 7 kg (also a record :) Massages – 1. During a typical day I did 1-2 stretching for 5 min and last 46 days my muscles recovered automatically. Speaking ojas terms – 17,6 :) Most interesting thing happened on the first day after finish – for the first time I jog for 2 miles in my pleasure together with Pranjal, who is running already for more then 400 days (2 miles minimum). I felt myself excellent after running! The fullness of life is in the motion. The physical power has only one source – The spiritual power. Sri Chinmoy

Day 48

July 31, 2009

48th day, 11 am I passed the 3000-mile point about 40 min. ago. It means I am running the final straight. The finish is tomorrow! On the first of August which is the 49th day! Volodya will finish tomorrow morning around 8.30 am, then around noon is Pranjal’s turn. Then me around 5pm. So everything is going very well. I am in a confident and calm mood. Today we were blessed by the rain. But we got so used to it that it doesn’t matter whether your snickers are wet or not, whether your T-shirt is wet or not, you just run. Supraba keeps going ahead. She runs according to her schedule. At 6 am she starts together with us. Then in the evening around 8-9 pm she gets a ride home. She does fewer miles than before, but she looks quite fresh and moves ahead confidently. Yesterday night and today morning I had a feeling that the race is done for me. As if in the inner world everything had already happened. What is needed to be done outwardly to get the 3100 point is to just perm my legs. But it looks like everything is already done. Greetings to all! TOMORROW!!!
